Types of Braces
Braces no longer mean a mouthful of metal. Yes, metallic braces are still available, but so are many other less noticeable varieties.
The types of braces available to you depend on the extent of your treatment and a number of other factors: budget; the amount of time braces are required; whether surgery or extractions are necessary; whether headgear is necessary; and your own personal preferences.
We will work closely with you to determine the best option for you and your budget.
Richmond Green Orthodontics offers many options for braces:
Metallic Strong and suited to most types of treatment, metal braces are typically a more affordable option.
Ceramic Ceramic brackets blend in with your teeth, making them far less noticeable than metal braces. The ceramic brackets used by Richmond Green are more stain-resistant than many other types of aesthetic brackets.
Invisalign ® For mild cases of misaligned teeth, Invisalign uses a series of aligners to gradually move teeth into place. Invisalign is typically more suited to adults, but some teens may be candidates for this treatment.
iBraces Lingual braces, like iBraces, are virtually invisible. They are placed behind the teeth and completely customized to the shape of your teeth. Dr. Chan is fully qualified to treat patients with lingual braces.
